Cutest canine Star Wars fan ever?

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, 31, posted on the social network on Friday, the official release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a photo of his and wife Priscilla Chan's dog, Beast, dressed in costume.

No, he didn't follow the lead of many pet owners and dress their pooch as the equally-as-furry Chewbacca or as an Ewok. Those would be obvious choices.

Nope, Beast is a Jedi, or rather, a Jedi turned evil, complete with a red (red=evil) lightsaber. Just like Darth Vader.

"Meanwhile, Beast turned to the dark side," he wrote.

Zuckerberg had previously posted on Facebook a photo of his and Chan's newborn daughter, Max, sporting a Star Wars costume.

After posting his photo of Beast, he chatted with some commentators.

"It only took two chicken treats to convince him to let us put this robe on him," he told one of them.

"Oh no!!! Beast!!!! Come back to the light. It's not too late!!!" one person wrote.

"There is still good in him. I feel it," Zuckerberg replied.

Beast, a Puli, or Hungarian herding dog, became a Facebook star in his own right after Zuckerberg and Chan brought him home in 2011, mostly due to his unique, almost dreadlock-style fur. He has occasionally appeared in the Facebook CEO's photos, including this one showing him jumping for joy...and resembling a Koosh ball.

In the spirit of this holiday weekend, I want to share the most joyful photo of Beast jumping I've ever seen. Even after...
