American Horror Story is getting the gang back together. Coven and Freak Show veteran Gabourey Sidibe is returning to the fold on the Wednesday, Jan. 6 episode of American Horror Story: Hotel. Sidibe, who is currently starring on Empire, was seen in the promo for the episode.

"Hey, either of you all work here?" she says in the promo to Denis O'Hare's Liz Taylor and Kathy Bates' Iris.

"Dinner is served," Bates' character says, referring to, well, everybody's hunger for life. Sidibe took to Twitter, retweeted a fan and added, "Surprise! #AHSHotel #CheckingIn."

So whom is Sidibe playing? Ryan Murphy teased characters from past seasons would be returning.

"Characters from previous seasons will come back and check into the hotel." Murphy said in July.

We've already seen Christine Estabrook's realtor from season one and Sarah Paulson will be reprising her Murder House role of psychic medium Bille Dean Howard for the finale. Lady Gaga's character also went to the Murder House of American Horror Story season one to see the abortion doctor, Dr. Montgomery. Sidibe has only played two characters in American Horror Story. In Coven she was Queenie, the witch whose primary power was being a human voodoo doll. In Freak Show, she played Regina Ross, the daughter of Patti LaBelle's housekeeper character. She sure looks and sounds like Queenie to us…But she could be a new character entirely.

American Horror Story: Hotel returns Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 10 p.m. on FX.
