It's been a bit since we've seen the former child star, but Bynes resurfaced tonight by posting a photo on Twitter and sending her fans some well wishes for the holiday season. Wearing a sheer black lace outfit, the actress posed and flashed a smile next to pal and makeup artist Troy Jensen while seemingly enjoying a night out together (or a holiday party, perhaps?).
"Me and my bestie @itstroyjensen! Happy Holidays!," she wrote. Jensen also posted the photo a few days ago on his Instagram, which gives a clearer view of Bynes' risqué outfit for the night.
Last time we saw Amanda was earlier this month, when she stepped out of Craig's Restaurant in West Hollywood camouflaged by a sleek new set of straight platinum blond bangs across her forehead, and wearing a zipped strapless dress that flaunted a gracious amount of cleavage.
More than a year ago, Bynes revealed on her Twitter account that she had been diagnosed as bipolar and manic depressive and was taking medication. This revelation followed months of legal troubles and public displays of erratic behavior, including false accusations of abuse against her father. She was placed in a psychiatric hold and subsequently released by the end of October 2014.
At that time, Bynes had enrolled back in school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), her parents' lawyer Tamar Arminak confirmed to E! News.
Months later in February, the actress had earning a glowing progress report. A source told E! News Bynes was "doing really great and is very healthy," adding, "She is focusing on reading, yoga and reconnecting with her family...She is trying to live a more balanced life."
