After much anticipation, The Weeknd has finally released his official music video for his hit single "In the Night." Prepare yourselves for a dark, ‘80's themed masterpiece that runs over six minutes long.
Directed by BRTHR, the clip plays out like a movie where one of its biggest stars is The Weeknd's girlfriend Bella Hadid. Shot in Brooklyn, New York, the video features plenty of action with a healthy dose of blood, guns and surprise rain showers.
The release comes during an exciting week for the 25-year-old singer and songwriter.
On Tuesday evening's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, The Weeknd was surrounded by beauty when he performed his hit single on-stage.
Just one day earlier, the artist found out he was nominated for some pretty impressive Grammy Awards.
Thanks to his album Beauty Behind the Madness, The Weeknd could pick up a trophy for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best R&B Song and more.
Despite the success, a recent interview in Rolling Stone proved that this performer is simply all about the music.
"I just started being fancy, to be honest," he told the publication. "Like, I just started learning how to pronounce what I'm wearing."
He continued, "I'm not known as the greatest singer right now, but I'm also not known as the guy who f--king sucks, you know?"
