Gayle King is experiencing the consequences of the holidays just like the rest of us.
The CBS This Morning co-host has been chronicling her diet journey with Weight Watchers on her Instagram account since September and in her latest update, King stepped on the scale and revealed that she actually gained almost two pounds.
While standing at 167.5 pounds, Gayle captioned the photo, "Aaargh! I had gotten DOWN to 166.0 Hate when scale goes back UP...sticking with @weightwatchers tho-gonna blame thanksgiving.. WEEKEND. I remember when this was my crisis weight now just grateful !!"
That's the right attitude! Although, let's be real, it's probably just water weight, girl.
Despite seeing the numbers going the opposite way of her liking, Gayle is staying focused and confident in her plan with Weight Watchers, which is something she's pursuing with BFF Oprah Winfrey—who is now a partial owner of the weight loss company.
In O's January issue (hitting newsstands Dec. 8), the media mogul explained why the plans offered by Weight Watchers works best for her.
"I've wishy-washed with diets and exercise my whole life. Now I'm ready to go beyond the scale and declare a new way of being in the world," Winfrey shared.
"The folks at Weight Watchers called me in July and asked if I'd join their team—help spread the message about taking a holistic approach to health and fitness. For me, this was a perfect alignment. I was fed up with my lose-and-gain-again routine. I'd had enough of no-carb regimens. Some people can live without bread and pasta, but it just doesn't make sense to me. All the times I tried to do so only made me crave them more. I wanted a plan for life, and here it was in the form of Weight Watchers. For me, this is not a diet. It's a whole shift in perspective. So yes, for sure, I'm a bona fide convert."
