Crawford opened up her Malibu home to the folks at The Coveteur, which means we had the chance to pour over all the dresses, necklaces, bags and shoes that her model daughter Kaia Gerber gets to borrow for at-home photo shoots. And this closet doesn't disappoint: We spotted the Peter Pilotto dress that Cindy wore in Mumbai back in June, plus luxe leather accessories and a shoe wall worth selling a soul (or two) for.
Kaia, by the way, not only gets to model mom's clothes at home—one day the closet will actually be hers. (So. Jealous.)
"I have a lot of clothes that actually I haven’t even opened," Cindy told The Coveteur. "I’ve saved old Alaïa pieces from when I used to do his show and he used to pay us in clothes, or Chanel, so those are in a separate closet—more like an archival closet that I’m keeping for my daughter."
The brunette beauty's career is still going strong—she's currently doing press for her new coffee table book Becoming—though she appreciates how social media visibility has changed the game for the new crop of one-name-only supermodels (we're talking Bella, Gigi, Joan and Jourdan).
And when you've had a modeling run this long, it's always good to reflect. Cindy pinpoints one of her most defining moments on the catwalk as Versace's fall-winter 1991 show.
"I think the most surreal [moment in my career] was walking down that Versace runway with Christy [Turlington], Linda [Evangelista] and Naomi [Campbell] to the George Michael's song and the video. It just felt like this is something, you couldn't quite put your finger on it because you're in the middle of show week, but it felt like the stars were in alignment. That one moment became bigger than any one of us, it was just amplified by the fact that we were all together," she said.
Now if we could only get a glimpse of what's in Naomi, Linda and Christy's closets...
