Fans of Mr. Robot will have to wait another week to find out what happens in the big finale. USA Network has postponed the season-one finale, pushing it from Wednesday, Aug. 26, to Wednesday, Sept. 2, after the tragic shooting deaths of reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward in Virginia.

"The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today's tragic events in Virginia," USA Network said in a statement. "Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight's episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

Parker and Ward were gunned down on live TV this morning. According to police, the suspect in the case, Vester Lee Flanagan II, who also went by Bryce Williams, was also employed by the Roanoke station, WDBJ7, where Ward and Parker worked. Flanagan died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound while police pursued him. Vicki Gardner, the sole survivor of the shooting, is out of surgery and stable.

An encore of the penultimate episode of Mr. Robot will air in lieu of the finale tonight.

The hit USA series stars Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, a hacker who joins fsociety, an Anonymous-like hacker group. Their goal? To take down a huge corporation, E Corp. (Evil Corp. to Elliot) and eliminate all debts. The show also stars Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallström and Christian Slater.

Spoiler alert if you aren't caught up: Catch up. It's a good show. USA has already ordered a second season.

Mr. Robot's season finale will air Sept. 2 at 10 p.m. on USA.

(E! and USA are both members of the NBCUniversal family.)
