Bobby Brown recently returned to the stage for the first time since the passing of daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown

The 46-year-old musician performed on Sunday night at the Hollywood Bowl, where he joined Mary J. Blige on stage as her surprise guest to sing their duet "Real Love."

Brown, who was greeted by excited cheers from the audience, kept his commentary short, and according to TMZ, he told the crowd, "Thank you for all your prayers, everybody."

The New Edition frontman's performance comes less than one month after his 22-year-old daughter, who was found unconscious in a bathtub at her home on the morning of Jan. 31 and remained in a comatose state until her passing, was laid to rest next to her mother Whitney Houston, who drowned in the bathtub in her suite at the Beverly Hilton hotel the day before the 2012 Grammys.

"Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable," Brown told E! News after the passing of his daughter. "We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl."

Bobbi Kristina's longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon was present at their home when Brown was found in the bathtub. Prior to her passing, a $40 million lawsuit was brought against boyfriend Gordon by Bobbi Kristina's conservators accusing him of domestic abuse and stealing money from Whitney Houston's only child. After Brown's death, a 13-page amended complaint was filed, which also alleged wrongful death. Gordon's attorneys slammed the filing, calling it "slanderous and meritless."
