Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade will be celebrating their one-year anniversary in just eight days.

Union gushes, "We're BFFs…It's just sort of awesome."

"It's all the same. It's easy," Wade said.

And it sounds like their anniversary plans are pretty awesome, too.

"I'm taking her somewhere nice, somewhere neither of us have been," the NBA star said earlier this week at Samsung's launch of the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5. "And she will not find out until the plane gets up in the air. It'll be pretty special."

It's so secretive, Wade has told Union not to pack for the trip.

"It's going to be hot," he teased.

The two were married on Aug. 30 in Miami at sunset at the lavish Chateau Artisan estate.

The bride wore a strapless Dennis Basso ballgown with a sweetheart neckline as she walked down the aisle, while the groom wore a Dsquared2 Tuxedo, a custom Wedding Collection Tie Bar bowtie and a Floral Fix boutonniere. Wade proposed in December 2013 after four years of dating with an 8.5-carat ring worth an estimated $1 million.

It was recently announced that Union will voice Nala opposite Rob Lowe as Simba in the upcoming The Lion King spinoff TV movie, The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar.

"I'm Nala—it's amazing," Union said. "I'm so pumped about it! And Rob Lowe! If somebody would have told me when I was watching St. Elmo's Fire that someday that Rob Lowe would be with me, I would never have believed it. But I'll take it."

The Miami Heat's regular season kicks off Oct. 28.

"I try not to eat everything in sight," Wade said about staying in shape during the off-season. "I love sweets. I'm a cookie man. I have to understand that as I get older in this game, I can't let it go like I did when I was younger."
