Considering the fact that we can't seem to get enough of One Direction, it's crazy to think that just five years ago, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were just average blokes auditioning for The X-Factor.

And guess what? A then 17-year-old Zayn almost quit halfway through the audition process because he was too embarrassed to dance with the rest of the guys during the boot-camp phase. "I don't want to look like an idiot," the now superstar said.
