InstagramWell, it was about time for another Miley Cyrus hair change—and the singer did not disappoint!
The 2015 Video Music Awards host took to Instagram on Aug. 17 with photos of her, er, hair-raising new do, which features multicolored dreadlocks (of sorts) fashioned into a fauxhawk atop her head. So, you know, the usual Miley hair switch-up. And the singer seems pretty excited about her new 'do, writing "Serving Rastaaaaaa Realness," alongside the snap.
Miley's latest hairplay follows her foray into the world of armpit hair dye jobs, a pin-up turn in a long blond wig for MAC Cosmetics and her usual cropped cut, which has grown from a dramatic pixie to a style she can slick behind her ears.
The singer later shared a photo of her hangout session with music producer Mike Will and dad Billy Ray Cyrus (yep, dreads intact).
And Miley had to get rainbow nails to match, naturally—showcasing an ombré mani and ROYGBIV-inspired toes.
Right before showcasing her sky-high dreads, the singer gave us a preview that, well, shows she's just really feeling rainbow hair right now. She captioned a snap featuring multihued clip-on bangs that seem to be a hair hangover remedy: "Juzzzz a lil rainbow hair 2 make me feel betta from vomming all night!!!!"
Cyrus is probably getting the party out of her system before hosting the biggest of them all: The star will head the upcoming 2015 MTV VMAs on Aug. 30. We're expecting many, many hair changes as part of the surprises she has in store.
