Tracy Morgan Is Making His Epic Return to TV With SNL! Find Out Who Else Is Set to Host This Season

Mark your calendars, people: Tracy Morgan is making his grand return to TV...and Saturday Night Live!

The former SNL cast member has just been tapped to host on Oct. 17, and this is huge for two reasons. First, this is going to be his second time hosting the NBC show since exiting the cast. And second (and most importantly), this will be his first TV performance since he was severely injured in a deadly bus crash in June 2014. Having Morgan back on our TV screens, performing comedy again, feels so right.

Morgan appeared on NBC's Today last month for his first TV appearance to talk about his accident, after which he suffered brain trauma, in addition to a broken leg and broken ribs, after a Walmart truck hit his limo on the New Jersey Turnpike killing his friend, comedian James McNair. Morgan gave a thumbs up to the camera at the start of the interview. 

"I cant believe I'm here. I can't believe I'm in front of you. I can't believe I'm here," Morgan told Matt Lauer. "Just seeing the tragedy happened, it touches me...The case is settled but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mac. He was a close friend of mine, a comrade in comedy."

And Morgan is not the only name announced as a host for the 41st season.

E! News has learned that Miley Cyrus is also set to host again, making it the third time for the MTV Video Music Awards host! She will take on the Oct. 3 episode.

And on Oct. 10, everyone's new favorite comic Amy Schumer will make her hosting debut fresh off her box office hit Trainwreck.

Musical guests will be announced at a later date.
