Tim Tebow's charity is honoring him on his 28th birthday by showing the world how he gives back.
The NFL quarterback, who signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, is the founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation, a group that helps ailing children around the world and also helps donate to programs and facilities such as the Tebow CURE Hospital in the Philippines. Tebow has often posted on his Instagram page photos showing him with kids during his charity trips.
"In honor of Tim Tebow's 28th birthday, we have released an exclusive video celebrating our 5-Year Anniversary, narrated by ESPN's Tom Rinaldi, highlighting some of the amazing moments your support has helped create!" read a message posted on the charity's Facebook page on Friday.
"Thank you to all of our supporters for helping us bring Faith, Hope and Love to so many throughout the past 5 years," the message added.
The clip shows several of the children helped by the Tim Tebow Foundation, whose mission statement is to "bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need," and also features the man himself.
"At first, people wanted to say, 'That's way too broad of a mission statement. You can't do that. You'll never be successful because you have to narrow it down, you have to help either kids with this disease or kids with this disease or orphans or widows or this,'" Tebow says. "And we said, 'Why? We just want to help people.'"
"Many blessings in my 28 yrs!" Tebow said on Twitter. "Being part of 5 yrs of @tebowfoundation is one of the best! Thx for this, Tom Rinaldi."
