Amanda Ficher, Meredith Pond

Instagram, Facebook

If more than one friend said that someone looked exactly like you, how intrigued would you really be?

For 23-year-old Amanda Fisher, she was more than just a little curious to find out who her look-alike was. In fact, she wanted to meet the complete stranger.

The search began when the Frisco, Texas resident was running errands and a pal said he noticed a girl on Instagram who looked exactly like her. For the record, it wasn't one of her celebrity doppelgangers that include Zooey Deschanel or Katy Perry.

Thinking nothing of it, Fisher went about her business without putting much thought into the coincidence. But once other friends began questioning the young adult, Fisher has to see the photo for herself.

They found her in Instagram but it doesn't seem like she uses it very much. I have a feeling she uses imgur judging by the pictures she has posted. I'm hoping she will see this so she can be just as weirded out as me!FP Edit: In response to all the messages, yes I will update everyone if I find her! Also, I'm cracking up because half of you say "Both of these pictures are you" and the other half says "You look nothing alike". Thanks for the updoots in hopes of finding her. I'm hoping she didn't cease to exist after I saw her.FP Edit #2: A lovely Imgurian knows her and sent me her FB page, waiting on a response...

From the hair length to bone structure, each girl's appearance was incredibly similar. As a result, Fisher turned to the Internet for help.

"I have a feeling she uses imgur judging by the pictures she has posted," Fisher wrote on the social media site. "I'm hoping she will see this so she can be just as weirded out as me!"

A few days went by and an Imgur user finally recognized the other woman. Meet 22-year-old Indiana resident Meredith Pond.

According to BuzzFeed, the pair was able to communicate on Facebook. While Fisher thinks she was probably "initially frightening and confused" by the news, she's glad she was able to reach out and start some dialogue.

"I read somewhere that everyone has at least six or seven people in the world that look a lot like you," she told the site. "I always thought it would be strange to meet one of those people."

The pair has yet to meet in person but remain hopeful for a possible face-to-face meeting.
