Britney Spears is coming back to television.

The pop star just announced she's going to be guest starring on Jane the Virgin!

"See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil" Spears just tweeted. "Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue."

"We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis'—Britney Spears—has agreed to appear on Jane The Virgin in episode 205," showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman said in statement. "Personally, after hearing about their long standing fued (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney."

Spears last appeared on a sitcom in 2008, playing Abby, Stella's receptionist and Barney's ex-girlfriend on How I Met Your Mother for two episodes.

Two years before, on Will & Grace, she played Amber-Louise, a right-winger who was hired to co-host Jack's talk show after conservatives bought the gay network, OutTV. Wanda Sykes and George Takei also appeared in the same episode.

We'll be seeing Spears on Sunday when she presents at the Teen Choice Awards, airing on Fox starting at 8 p.m.

As I recently reported, it's still unclear if Spears will be extending her Britney: Piece of Me show in Las Vegas. Her residency at Planet Hollywood ends over New Year's Weekend.

Sources revealed earlier this month that a contract is on the table, but Spears has yet to make a decision about continuing the hit show.
