Lisa Vanderpump and Kim Richards may no longer be filming together.

But after reading the headlines surrounding her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Vanderpump can't help but feel for the troubled star.

"It's a shame. I've been saddened by that and it's really not my place to comment on that now," she told E! News at Bella New York magazine's annual White Party. "Obviously, she's a friend and not family but it's out there…It saddens me to see her going in this direction."

She continued, "I think she has really good support but now her support needs to really step in and something needs to be done."

Just last week, E! News confirmed that the former reality start was arrested for shoplifting outside a Southern California Target store. Police said she stole upwards of $600 worth of merchandise before spending one night in jail.

E! News also confirmed that Kim's family had her briefly hospitalized for undisclosed reasons late last week. She has since been released and has not commented on her legal troubles.

As filming continued for the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over the weekend, Vanderpump remains in "constant contact" with Kim's sister and co-star Kyle Richards.

As for reaching out to Kim directly, Vanderpump doesn't believe it's her place.

"I haven't [reached out] because I feel there are people a lot closer to her than I am," the Bravolebrity explained. "I send her well wishes and hope she's okay."

Dorinda Medley, Aviva Drescher, Jill Zarin and Jenna Ushkowitz were also spotted at the Hamptons party sponsored by Lelo booth.
