It's safe to say Hilary Duff and Haylie Duff's children are on their way to becoming BFFs.

Sure, Haylie just welcomed her daughter Ryan three months ago. And yes, Hilary's son Luca is reaching toddler status at three years old.

But in a short amount of time, both sisters have witnessed a bond that is only going to get stronger in time.

"He can be really sweet with her," Hilary gushed to E! News when describing her son's relationship with Ryan. "She was crying the other day and he was like, ‘Why is she crying mom? Why is she crying?'"

Hilary continued, "He got his lovey that is really important to him and he laid it on her and was like, ‘There. This will make her feel better.'"

It's just one of the special moments that sisters Haylie and Hilary have witnessed in only a few short months. In fact, it's a welcome sign for Hilary who admits Luca wasn't too sure what to think of the new baby at first.

"He's been the only baby in our family so it's just going to take a little adjusting," she explained while supporting Similac's Sisterhood of Motherhood campaign called Sisterhood Unite. "He wasn't so pumped the first time he came over and the baby wasn't in her stomach. He was like ‘Uhhh, what's up with her?'"

In Luca's defense, it's not like the new family member can play whenever he wants. At just three months old, Ryan is described by Haylie as a "little mini person" who is a "little baby blob" in the best way possible.

Hilary added, "She can't do anything yet. Once [Luca] can interact with her, he'll be more excited."

In fact, Luca has another big reason to be pumped for the future. Once Ryan is old enough to play, it's going to be her older cousin who's in charge of the activities. "We told him, you get to set the ground rules for what they play and what they're going to do," Haylie admitted. "I think he likes that idea too." Aww!
