Amy Schumer's star is on the rise.

Her feature film debut, Trainwreck, is a box office hit, and her Comedy Central series, Inside Amy Schumer, is nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards. As such, Jon Stewart asked his Daily Show guest Monday night, "Are you in the stratosphere now? I see a picture of you and Jennifer Lawrence..."

"Oh, God! Don't even start!" she joked. "All my celeb friends!"

In all seriousness, Schumer explained, "She's bee on here. She's the coolest chick you'll ever meet. She's beautiful." The comedienne then revealed how her recent vacation with the Academy Award winner came to be. "Once a year I go away with all my girlfriends from high school. We went to the Hamptons because they wouldn't let us go back to Martha's Vineyard. No one would rent us a house because they heard about us." In fact, they were banned from "the whole island."

"What did you guys do?" Stewart asked.

"None of your business!" Schumer replied.

How did Lawrence score an invite? "So we go to the Hamptons, and Jennifer and I have become friends. I was like, 'Oh, we're going on a boat tour tomorrow. You should come.' It was kind of a hypothetical," Schumer said. "And she was like, 'I think I'm coming!' I was like, 'Oh, my God!' So I filmed a video actually of my friends telling them that Jennifer Lawrence is going to be there. They're like nurses and teachers, and I'm like, 'Jennifer Lawrence is coming on a boat with us tomorrow.'"

Schumer said her friends' reactions were priceless: "They're all screaming!"

Once the girls took to the water, she said, "We wound up going jet skiing and I was like, 'I'll drive! I've got this!' And she was like, 'No, I'm Hunger Games.'" Schumer posted a few pictures on Instagram and was surprised by the attention their vacation received. "It was a complete viral thing. It's my picture next to Jennifer Lawrence's—like the last person you want to be next to...I look like her coach in all the pictures," she said. "I look like I'm telling her to take a knee, like, 'Listen, Jen!'"
