It's time to meet another legend.

Falk Hentschel is set to take on the role of Hawkman, the reincarnating vigilante, in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, E! News has learned. The Transcendence and White House Down star will be introduced to fans as Carter Hall, the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée). Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as "Hawkman."

While Legends of Tomorrow isn't set to premiere until midseason on the CW, DC Comics fans won't have to wait that long to meet Hawkman as Hentschel will make his superhero debut in the crossover episodes of Arrow and The Flash, which will set-up the latest spinoff.

E! managed to get some scoop out of Legends of Tomorrow boss Phil Klemmer about Hawkman and Hawkgirl's sad fate when we let the actors from the show ask him their burning questions about their character. "There are times where you might live 'til 80 and Vandal Savage kills you and there are other times where Vandal Savage might strangle you in your crib," he answered star Ciara Renee, who asked him how the reincarnation will work on the show. "[He's] been killing you and your doomed love, Hawkman, throughout the ages. Every time he kills you guys he sort of usurps your power. He's chasing you throughout all time, so you have a chance to run into previous incarnations of yourself."

Hentschel most recently starred in CBS' shortlived legal drama Reckless and appeared on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Set to star in DC's Legends of Tomorrow are Brandon Routh (as Ray Palmer/the Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Ciara Renee (as Kendra/Hawkgirl), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heatwave), Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson), and Victor Garber (Martin Stein/Firestorm).

DC's Legends of Tomorrow will premiere midseason on the CW.
