It's a good day to be Russell Wilson.
The 26-year-old quarterback and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth a whopping $87.5 million, according to multiple reports, ensuring the NFL stud, who has successfully led the team to two consecutive Super Bowls, won't be leaving Seattle anytime soon.
The deal also cements Wilson as one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.
"Blessed to be w/ this organization for 4 more years! Can't wait to get on field w/ the fellas! @Seahawks #ChampionMindset #GoHawks," the athlete wrote on Twitter, confirming the news.

According to Sports Illustrated, which was first to report the news, the deal includes a $31 million signing bonus and approximately $60 million in guarantees.
Wilson's rise to the top of the NFL ranks is nothing short of spectacular. He was chosen as a third-round draft pick in 2012 and signed a $2.99 million contract with the Seahawks. Throughout his three years with the Seattle team, he has more wins than any other quarterback in NFL history.

In addition to his football fame, the athlete is also gaining attention in the celebrity world, due to his relationship with 29-year-old singer Ciara.
"Congratulations Are In Order To My Baby @DangeRussWilson and The Seattle Seahawks!" the proud girlfriend wrote on Twitter today. "So Exciting! Go Hawks! 3's Up!"
