Mulder, is that you? Robbie Amell and Gillian Anderson took to social media to share some pictures of the next generation of The X-Files and we are so ready for this show to be back in our lives.

Anderson, who along with David Duchovny will return to the beloved series for six episodes this winter, posed along with The Flash star who is taking on the role of Agent Miller. Amell will be joined by Six Feet Under's Lauren Ambrose as Agent Einstein as two FBI agents who seem suspiciously a lot like Mulder and Scully. Amell captioned the above photo on Instagram with the appropriate, "Do you believe?" We believe! Anderson shared the below photo on Twitter and said, "...or THIS one, @RobbieAmell! It's Agent Miller time!" Important question: Where can we get that hat? Also! Looks like they made Scully's hair redder, as promised.

Anderson and Duchovny last played Dana Scully and Fox Mulder in the 2008 flick The X-Files: I Want to Believe. There had been talk about a third movie—the first came out while the show was in its heyday—but the disappointing reception to the second movie basically killed the chances. However, with the entire series on Netflix, a whole new generation of The X-Files fans were born.

Series creator Chris Carter is back behind the scenes with several of the show's original writers and producers also returning to the fold to tell new stories. New faces along for the ride besides Amell and Ambrose include Joel McHale, Rhys Darby, Kumail Nanjiani and Annet Mahendru. Silicon Valley star Nanjiani and McHale are professed big fans of the series. Nanjiani shared his experience on Twitter, to the delight of many.

Mitch Pileggi will also return as Walter Skinner and William B. Davis will somehow be back as The Smoking Man (he died during the show's original run). The Lone Gunmen—played by Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwoodwill also return to The X-Files fold…despite also being killed off. The trio returned in the Carter-sanctioned The X-Files season 10 comic book series with their "death" having been faked.

Now, how many days until Sunday, Jan. 24?
