You know your songs are "Safe and Sound" when Kelly Clarkson takes over!

Need proof? It certainly was the case Saturday night when the Grammy winner decided to cover one of Taylor Swift's biggest hits of the year.

While performing to a sold-out crowd at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, the proud mom followed tradition by honoring one fan's song request. Lo and behold, the concertgoer asked for a rendition of "Blank Space" and Clarkson delivered.

Slowing things down with a more soulful version, Clarkson got the crowd singing along to the hit single. And for those asking, the lyrics still sound like "Gotta love those Starbucks lovers" even if an American Idol winner is behind the mic.

This isn't the first time Clarkson has covered beloved songs from a variety of artists. While traveling the country for the Piece by Piece Tour, the 33-year-old gave her own spin on ‘N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye," Nick Jonas' "Jealous" and Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money."

Furthermore, she's also covered Swift's No. 1 hit "Shake It Off" that ultimately earned rave reviews from the blond beauty.

"Watching Kelly Clarkson SLAY ‘Shake It Off' is an excellent way to celebrate 26 HOURS TIL 1989!!!!!" Swift tweeted. "#TS1989."

So could we see these two come together at a future show? Your guess is as good as ours. But if you look at past concerts, Swift loves bringing on equally talented artists onstage.

In just the past month, MKTO, Walk the Moon and Sam Hunt have graced sold-out arenas. Here's hoping Clarkson can join the party next!
