The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Melissa Gorga says sister-in-law and co-star Teresa Giudice is "doing strong," six months after she began a prison sentence for fraud, and maintains a positive attitude while speaking to her daughters and her husband.

Gorga, 36, made her comments on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Thursday.

"She's doing as well as can be expected for the situation," she said. "She's holding in there. She's really strong and she's really good at keeping it positive, especially when she talks with the girls on the phone and you know, connects with her husband and everyone. But the girls are doing good too."

"Was that controversial at the wedding?" Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen asked Gorga.

"It was," she replied. "You know, I posted a picture with Caroline and people were like, 'Oh my gosh, why is she stealing Lauren's thunder?' She wanted her to wear white. I thought it was nice. They looked beautiful."
