Whatever happened to just singing and dancing?!

Justin Martin, who played Donny Dion in tween favorite High School Musical 3: Senior Year, was arrested last night after allegedly getting caught up in a gunfight with police, the Boston Police Department confirmed Wednesday.

Per BPD, officers heard shots fired while on patrol in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood and saw a male suspect, later identified as the 21-year-old Martin, running with a gun in his hand.

While being chased by police, Martin then allegedly pointed the gun at officers and a second man opened fire. Officers fired at Martin, who was not hit, before getting him to the ground, after which they recovered a .22-caliber handgun and took him into custody, BPD said.

While arresting Martin, a juvenile male approached holding a .25-caliber handgun, police said. They could not confirm if the younger man was the same person who had opened fire, but he was subsequently arrested as well.

Both men were booked on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and Martin was also charged with two counts of Assault by means of a Dangerous Weapon.

Per TMZ, Martin pleaded not guilty on all counts today in Dorchester District Court and bail was set at $35,000.

For all intents and purposes, it appears that Martin has been keeping pretty busy, showbiz-wise, since appearing in HSM3. His credits since then include an appearance on the CBS procedural hit Blue Bloods and big-screen roles in Flight and The Soloist, in which he played a younger version of Jamie Foxx's character.
