Young Thug is in hot water!

The 22-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested this morning after allegedly threatening to kill a mall cop.

Young Thug was arrested by U.S. Marshals around 6 a.m. Wednesday at his home in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs, E! News has confirmed. The U.S. Marshals were assisting local Dunwoody police officers with the arrest.

Young Thug's arrest stems from an incident that occurred last week at a Georgia mall. The hip-hop star allegedly got into an altercation with mall security guards on July 7.

According to legal dics obtained by E! News, Williams was asked to leave the mall and was being escorted out when he "threatened to shoot (a security guard) in the face." Young Thug left before cops arrived.

Following the alleged altercation, an arrest warrant was issued charging Young Thug with terroristic threats.

Young Thug is a member of Gucci Mane's Atlanta-based record label.
