Watch: Is Daniel Radcliffe In the "Harry Potter" Prequel?

Daniel Radcliffe is done with Harry Potter.

Sure, they are going to be making more installments of the wizard movie franchise, but the actor says he won't be in them.

"I feel that would be a very distracting thing so I'm not looking to pop up in them," Radcliffe told me at Comic-Con, where he was promoting his new horror thriller Victor Frankenstein.

And yes, we know the new films are going to be prequels that wouldn't necessarily include Harry Potter, but isn't anything possible when it comes to wizards?

It was announced last month that Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne will star in the first spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as "magizoologist" Newt Scamander, who writes a Hogwartts School textbook about the creatures he encounters. "I'm excited to see them, especially with Eddie [Redmayne]," Radcliffe said. "He's awesome. I think it'll be fantastic. I'm intrigued to see what they're going to do."

It was announced yesterday that Warner Bros. will be holding an open casting call in London for girls to play the female lead in Fantastic Beasts.

"We are looking for a girl between the ages of 8- 12 yrs for the role Modesty," a notice on the studio's website says. "Modesty is a haunted young girl with an inner strength and stillness. She has an ability to see deep into people and understand them."
