Happy Birthday, FLOTUS!

Michelle Obama turned 50 years old on Friday, Jan. 17, and she couldn't be more excited. The First Lady of the United States tweeted a picture of her just-issued AARP card and name-dropped her slightly older husband. "Excited to join Barack in the 50+ club today," she said of the president.

In a 2013 interview, Michelle talked to Parade about why she wasn't dreading her milestone birthday like some women tend to do. "What you learn is that each decade brings a new set of challenges but also a new set of possibilities. I have never felt more confident in myself, more clear on who I am as a woman. But I am constantly thinking about my own health and making sure that I'm eating right and getting exercise and watching the aches and pains. I want to be this really fly 80-, 90-year-old."

What does her husband of 21 years think of his wife now? "Michelle is actually more beautiful now than when I met her," the commander-in-chief and father of two said. "And I think she's wiser."

Michelle will celebrate her birthday at the White House on Saturday, Jan. 18. Details about the big bash are being kept private, but senior White House advisor Valerie Jarret is certain guests will have a good time. "There's one thing I can tell you for sure," she said. "People will move."
