Family comes first! Though they've been divorced since April 2007, exes Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora appeared amicable as ever when they co-hosted their daughter Ava's 16th birthday party on Tuesday, Oct. 8. The bash was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in L.A.'s Westlake Village.

During the soiree, Franklin & Bash star Locklear, 52, and former Bon Jovi guitarist Sambora, 54, happily posed for pictures with their little girl, who had a minor role in the 2012 movie This Is 40.

Ava appears in the October issue of Teen Vogue, where she opens up about her showbiz dreams and her famous parents. "Ever since I was 5 or 6, I've wanted to be an actress," she tells the mag. "I loved attention and would always try to be onstage and in front of people. It was easy to figure out what I wanted to be."

Since childhood, Ava has dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps. "I always wanted to be on set with her," Ava says of Locklear, best known for the TV shows Melrose Place and Spin City. "One of her first films I visited was The Perfect Man. I was super starstruck because I thought her costar Hilary Duff was the most awesome person in the world."

Ava hopes to establish herself in Hollywood in the coming years. Like her parents, she's not afraid to go after what she wants. "I really only get nervous in front of my family and friends, because I want to impress them," she tells Teen Vogue. "I'm very on top of it with people I don't know."
