The first trailer for Universal's upcoming comedy, Neighbors, has hit the web and finds Zac Efron offering up his best Robert De Niro impression.
By the looks of this red-band clip which premiered Monday on MTV, the erstwhile 17 Again star has left his High School Musical days behind for college as he plays the leader of a fraternity which moves into the house next door to a married couple played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne and ends up raising all kinds of hell, sparking an ever-escalating (and hilarious) feud between the neighbors.

And it's no wonder, especially when the newly minted mommy and daddy stumble across a fraternity member having sex with a sorority girl just off their porch, or find their baby playing with what appeared to be a deflated balloon which turns out to be a condom.
There's also a pretty funny scene where Efron dresses up like the legendary actor straight out of his Taxi Driver days and quips, "You talkin' to me?"
And of course, what would a movie with the 25-year-old Hollywood hunk be without serving up something to his female fans, in this case showing off his sexy six pack as he grills some hot dogs during a backyard bash.
Neighbors, formerly titled Townies, is directed by Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and costars Christopher Mintz-Plasse, aka McLovin from Superbad, James Franco's younger brother, Dave Franco, and Friends actress Lisa Kudrow.
It's slated to hit theaters on May 9, 2014.
