Keith Bernstein/HBO, Byron Cohen/FXThe nominations for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced in Los Angeles this morning, with American Horror Story: Asylum and Game of Thrones leading the way, scoring a whopping 17 and 16 nods respectively.
Not far behind was Behind the Candelabra and Saturday Night Live, snagging 15 nominations a piece. While House of Cards led all digital entries with 9 noms, including acting nods for stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.
Among the other notable nominees; Breaking Bad and 30 Rock each earned 13; Downton Abbey, Mad Men and Modern Family took home 12 a piece, while Homeland and Phil Spector garnered 11 and Boardwalk Empire 10.
HBO easily dwarfed the networks, nabbing a whopping 108 nominations. Its closest rivals were CBS and NBC each with 53, ABC with 45 and Showtime with 31 while newcomer Netflix got its first taste of Emmy love with 14.
