Demi Lovato has released a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Nearly two weeks after 20 children and six school employees lost their lives in the devastating school shooting in Newtown, Conn., the "Give Your Heart a Break" crooner dedicated a rendition of "Angels Among Us" to the families affected by the tragedy.

The music video for Lovato's song opened with the message, "We can never imagine what the families in Newtown, CT are experiencing right now. And while there is nothing we can do to replace their loss, we can stand together and support them during this difficult time. This song is in honor of those angels we lost on December 14."

Meanwhile, Jesse James is in hot water for his not-so-positive message in the wake of the tragedy.

The former West Coast Choppers CEO posted a message on his Facebook page Saturday encouraging people to join the NRA, along with a photo of himself shooting a gun, just eight days after the school shooting occurred.

"Since the 1980's California has led the nation with the strictest gun control laws," James wrote. "In the middle of this state I have seen more dead bodies than I can count. On my way to work at least once a week in the early mornings streets are often closed off with yellow tape. Because somebody is dead from a gun shot wound. Or sometimes bodies were just seen laying there waiting for police to arrive."

"On a weekly basis Cop friends would always check in to make sure I was carying a gun at all times," James continued. "They would want to see it to make sure. They would tell me 'You better be packing.' For the last 20 years living in California I could never let my guard down, not even for a minute. This is what living in a state with strict gun control was like."

Sandra Bullock's 43-year-old ex-husband said his West Coast Choppers shop was never broken into or robbed during that time, because it was "common knowledge" in the neighborhood that he carried a gun and "would defend [his] business."

James went on to say that since moving to Texas he has enjoyed less strict gun laws, and "for the first time in my life enjoyed the freedom to purchase and shoot the guns of my choice."

"I have been able to enjoy these things with my family and teach them the safe proper way to shoot, handle, and secure weapons. Using the freedoms that the 2nd Amendment protects," James continued. "Mirroring California Gun laws nationwide is Only going to keep the honest people, honest. People that should not have guns, will still find a way to get them. Please join the NRA Now."
