Splash NewsIt's safe to say Lindsay Lohan's psychic connection didn't see this coming.
Tiffany Mitchell, the West Palm Beach, Fla., clairvoyant whom the starlet is accused of clocking at a New York City nightclub last week, met with Manhattan prosecutors last night for over two hours.
The New York Post reported on the get-together and quoted sources as saying the Nov. 29 late-night row at the Avenue lounge between the 26-year-old Lohan and 28-year-old Mitchell began with a disagreement involving a purse belonging to Lohan's sister, Ali.
A rep for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office declined to comment as did Mitchell's high-profile attorney, Gloria Allred. A source did tell E! News however that police have met with Mitchell seeking more information about the dust-up and that the investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the guys of the U.K. boy band The Wanted—whom Lindsay saw open for Justin Bieber at Madison Square Garden only hours before the alleged assault and who were also at Avenue when the incident went down—talked to E! News about the Liz & Dick star's latest fiasco.
"She's the best drunk in New York. She was cool. She had a bit of a scrap but it wasn't down to us," singer Max George told us at KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball in L.A. the other night.
The hunk oughta know all right, considering a source told E! News last week that Lohan had "been trying to hang out with Max for some time," but "once he saw what was happening, he was out of there." He subsequently tweeted, "eventful night!"
The fact that Lindsay's purported victim was a fortune-teller prompted a few more chuckles from The Wanted members.
"If [Mitchell] liked to see the future, why didn't she see it coming?" joked Nathan Sykes.
"She certainly got her palm read!" quipped fellow crooner Jay McGuiness.
Considering he wore a "Free Lindsay" T-shirt at their show the next night, McGuiness had at least some sympathy for the troubled actress.
"Yeah, for me, she was a total sweetheart. So I just did that to make her laugh and I think it cheered her up," he said.
No doubt Lindsay could use it.
