Could Reese Witherspoon and Kate Middleton be BFFs-in-the-making? The This Means War star sure wouldn't mind!

Reese stopped by Ellen (airing tomorrow) and reminisced about the day she met the Duchess of Cambridge.

"Somebody called me and said, 'We're having a really small fundraiser would you want to come over and meet the prince and princess?'" she began to explain. "I was like, 'Yes!' My husband just thought I was so dorky."

"He was like, 'Why are you so excited?' I must of tried on like six outfits. 'I'm meeting a princess. You don't understand. You have to be wearing the right outfit and the whole thing. I don't know, maybe we can be friends.' So we went and it's always funny. Whenever I am super excited about things, my husband calls it the double barrel. That's when I smile so big I look like a child."

Ellen DeGeneres proved that fact after showing a photo of Reese during that day.

Witherspoon continued, "I was so excited to meet her. Y'all, she's a princess." That was cute. And that's when Ellen laid the heavy question...

"Was she nice? Do you think y'all will hang out?"

"I mean, I would like to hang out. I'm not sure she wants to hang out with me. I could see that happening," Reese replied, and then responded to DeGeneres' question about whether or not Kate was down-to-earth with, "She was really nice. She was lovely. She's so composed. She seems like such a lady and I think it's so nice nowadays to see someone with such nice composure and carries herself so beautifully."

And then, the Oscar winner made the big move.

Reese looked at the camera and said, "Call me. Call me anytime."

Ball's in your court, Kate!
