Fact: NBC's high-concept drama Awake is one of the best new shows hitting your TV screens this spring.

Don't believe us? Read the show's concept and then try to tell us you're not intrigued: Police detective Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs) has been living a double life following a car accident involving his wife Hannah (Laura Allen) and his son Rex (Dylan Minnette). And by double life, we mean moving back and forth between two realities. In one, his wife survived the accident and in the other, his son survived. In each reality, Michael has different conflicts, police partners and therapists and he starts noticing links between the two realities.

Still not convinced? Here's an exclusive clip from Awake's premiere that will blow your mindhole...and Michael's!

Michael sees a therapist in each reality and both are attempting to convince him that the reality he's currently in is the "real" one. Dr. Evans (Cherry Jones) uses a unique method to persuade Michael: She has him read the U.S. Constitution! Why? Well, if he was in a dream, how would he be able to recite the document word-for-word?

Dr. Evans even throws in a little smack-talk message for Michael to deliver to Dr. Lee (B.D. Wong), saying, "Tell Dr. Lee that Dr. Evans that it's not as simple as he made it sound." Oh snap!

Too bad Michael isn't going to these therapists to find out which reality is real, asking Dr. Evans, "Why would you do that?" Michael has no intentions of losing either his wife or his son and he'll gladly keep moving between two realities to keep both of them.

Awake premieres March 1 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
