Rolling in the deep? More like rolling in despair!

Adele's legions of fans were crushed when the Grammy-winning songstress canceled her entire U.S. tour last year to undergo emergency throat surgery to repair a hemorrhaged polyp.

Weeks of recovery forced her to stay mum, but she's now ready for a roaring comeback! The "Someone Like You" chanteuse debuted her post-surgery voice on CBS This Morning, on the eve of her Grammy performance this Sunday.

How'd it go? Listen up...

The morning show aired a clip of Adele's upcoming appearance on 60 Minutes this Sunday, in which the singer belts out an a capella version of her hit "Rolling in the Deep" to Anderson Cooper.

And, hooooey: The gal kills it! If there are any lingering doubts that Adele might not be ready to unleash those pipes yet, this footage puts them to rest.

Adele sings not just one or two lines, but almost a full minute of the song, her soulful and soaring voice tremulous with raspy oomph!

There. Convinced?

Consider it a triumphant comeback for the singer, who got tangled up in a verbal tussle with Karl Lagerfeld earlier this week when the designer slammed the chanteuse for her weight, saying, "She is a little too fat." Tsk, tsk!

Although he later backpedaled, Adele swung back in an interview with People. "I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines," she said. "I represent the majority of women, and I'm very proud of that."

If there's one thing Lagerfeld should know, it's that you really don't want to piss off Adele. C'mon, the singer spins musical gold from the men who scorned her!

Could a Largerfeld-bashing ditty be in the offing? Stay tuned!
