Larry King is a man of his word.

After announcing last month that he was hanging up his suspenders to spend more time with his family, the chatmeister and wife Shawn appear to be embracing their reconciliation.

E! News has obtained court documents showing the couple withdrew dueling divorce petitions after deciding that they just couldn't live without each other.

"A lot of new things are happening to us, and we are happy to be together as a family with our children," King said in a statement today.

The dissolution of marriage case was dismissed on Wednesday.

In April, the 76-year-old CNN legend and his missus (née Shawn Southwick) both filed to end their 12 1/2-year union, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. Shortly after filling out their paperwork, however, the Kings put the divorce on hold and sought counseling to save the relationship.

The following month, Shawn was hospitalized after what was initially thought to be an accidental overdose of prescription medication but which police later labeled a suicide attempt.

After the incident, a rep for Larry said the couple would move back in together.

On June 29, after 25 years hosting Larry King Live, King announced plans to retire from his nightly chatfest to give himself "more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' little league games."
