A more unprincipled principal you'd be hard-pressed to find.

Jeffrey Jones, the erstwhile dean Ed Rooney from Ferris Bueller's Day Off, was arrested and charged with a felony count after he failed to update his registration as a sex offender.

Jones was arrested on June 23 for failing to renew his California registration within the required five days of his last birthday, which, incidentally, was all the way back in September.

It's the second time Jones has been caught out (well…third if you count his first horrific crime), as he was also arrested back in 2004 after failing to inform authorities he changed his address.

The 63-year-old netted first the heinous charge back in 2003, when he was ordered to register, undergo counseling and complete five years' probation after pleading no contest to getting a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos.

The actor, who has yet to comment on his latest lapse in judgment, has since been released on $20,000 bail, and his arraignment is set for July 14.
