We're sure the "he said, she said" surrounding Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi's split will only escalate in the coming days, but a source close to the situation tells E! News that it was Vienna who bailed on the Bachelor.
"She had been planning this since last week," the source tells us. "She called Jake on Monday night to tell him about the Star magazine article and tell him she was leaving. He didn't know anything about it until then and they broke up on that phone call."
Monday night was the same time the rumor mill started churning about her PDA with Greek actor Greg Michael at events over the weekend.
According to our sources, Vienna moves quickly.
"She was totally moved out our their apartment by Tuesday morning," we were told.
According to her Twitter, Vienna didn't cheat on Jake. But an eyewitness tells E! they saw her kissing Greg at the PacSun event Sunday while still wearing her engagement ring.
While Vienna's taking a beating in the press, one former Bachelorette says Jake may have had ulterior motives as well to jumpstart his acting career.
"I met Jake and I gave him quite a bit of advice before he went on The Bachelor," Deanna Pappas told E! last night while bartending at Jaguar's party at h.wood. "I told him that if he were in it for the wrong reasons, eventually the truth will shine through. I think nobody deserves such bad press, but I do believe Jake is getting everything he wanted."
After a stint on Dancing With the Stars, Jake's just wrapped a guest spot on Drop Dead Diva, on which he ironically plays a bachelor on a reality TV dating show who dumps a contestant to further his own career.
As for Vienna, she's already sold told her side of the story to Star magazine and claims they split because she and Jake haven't "been intimate in months".
