Prosecutors nailed the landing on this one.

The 36-year-old Florida man who showed up at Dancing With the Stars with a gun and other creepy stuff in his car, hoping to get close to Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, was convicted Friday of felony stalking and commercial burglary.

Robert Michael O'Ryan, who had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, was also found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of carrying a loaded firearm within city limits.

A competency hearing is scheduled for July 13 for the judge to rule on the outcome of his psychological evalutation.

He's looking at a maximum of three years and eight months in state prison, plus two years in county jail if he's found mentally stable. If he's found insane, however, the judge warned him that he could spend the rest of his life in a mental institution.

Johnson, who went on to win that season of Dancing With the Stars, testified in L.A. Superior Court yesterday that O'Ryan's behavior scared her very much and that she considered leaving the show and going home to Iowa.
