Karina Smirnoff Talks Ex-Fiancé Maksim: "I Wish Him All the Best"

Have the former lovebirds run into each other since returning to work on Dancing With the Stars?

Karina Smirnoff doesn't really know what it's like working on the new season of Dancing With the Stars with her ex-fiancé, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

"We haven't seen each other," Smirnoff tells me. "I heard he's doing an amazing job with Erin [Andrews]. I wish him all the best."

But not enough "best" to actually win season 10...

Smirnoff says she's rooting for Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek to take home the poorly made coveted disco ball trophy.

"Evan just came off the Olympics, and that grueling schedule and to come right into Dancing With the Stars. I take my hat off to that," she says.

Plus, his partner is fellow Russian Anna Trebunskaya. "I don't think a Russian has won yet, so I'm definitely rooting for that."

Smirnoff is not competing this season, but is working on show choreography behind the scenes. She smiles, "I don't miss being in front of the judges every week."
