Looks like the rivalry between Olympians Johnny Weir and Evan Lysacek isn't going to just be on the ice.

Weir isn't exactly rooting for Lysacek to bring home the discoball trophy on Dancing With the Stars

"He's very competitive and he works hard," Weir told us last night as he browsed On 3 Productions' Film Independent Spirit Awards gifting lounge. "But I'm really looking forward to Buzz Aldrin. I just feel it's going to be amazing to watch his transformation from an astronaut to a dancer."

Weir still doesn't understand why Dancing producers haven't approached him to appear on the hit ABC competition show. "If they asked me, I'd be there in two minutes," he said. "I want to learn how to foxtrot."

But he's more than hopeful his day will come. "They will," he said, "have me!"

Inside the swag suite, Weir checked out goodies like the new LG Electronics Kompressor vacuum and a Flip Video camera.

He also chatted with Alan Cumming and his husband, artist Grant Shaffer, and became fast friends with Spirit Award winner and Oscar nominee Gaby Sidibe. Within minutes of being introduced, the figure skater and Precious star were feeding each other popcorn at the AMC Entertainment booth.
