Godzilla, it ain't, but the Tribeca Film Festival is officially being invaded by a big, green monster.
Shrek Forever After, the fourth and final installment of the fractured fairy-tale franchise, will be making its world premiere as the fest's opening film on April 21, with Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas all expected to attend.
"DreamWorks Animation is honored," studio boss Jeffrey Katzenberg says in a statement. "It is a great privilege and tribute to our entire cast and crew to have been chosen as this year's opening night selection."
In the film, Shrek makes a dirty deal with Rumpelstiltskin and is thrust into an alternate reality (Shrek meets Lost, anyone?) in which ogres are once again hunted and our hero has never met his one true love.
The Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 21 through May 2.
