Former reality star and one-time football beau "resolve" dueling lawsuits stemming from summer incident

Tila Tequila has taken a timeout from tweeting about child-rearing to deal with another of her myriad personal dramas.

In this case, it's the dueling lawsuits with ex-boyfriend and NFL star Shawne Merriman.

"All matters have been resolved as of today," Tequila's Beverly Hills attorney, Cyrus Nownejad, tells E! News. Nownejad said he was not permitted to discuss any specifics and was clear about saying resolved, not settled.

The lawsuits stemmed from an incident last year in which the former MTV star alleged the San Diego Chargers linebacker roughed her up following a party.

The 25-year-old Merriman was arrested Sept. 6 and spent two hours in lockup. Tequila, 27, claimed he choked and then physically restrained her, charges which he denied. Prosecutors later backed him up and declined to make a criminal case of it.

But the he-said, she-said tiff ended up going to overtime after the diminutive singer-model-actress-shameless self-promoter filed a $1.5 million civil suit in November accusing the footballer of assault, battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress.

Merriman shot back with a suit of his own, alleging interference of a contract, unfair competition and trademark infringement, stating her accusations ruined a business agreement he had in the works to manufacture T-shirts for Walmart.
