Coldplay, JoBros, Lil Wayne Up for Grammy Glory

Coldplay, the Jonas Brothers and Lil Wayne go together like, well, Grammy nominees, of course.

The acts all scored top nominations tonight for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

Coldplay and Lil Wayne notched Album of the Year nods for Viva La Vida and Tha Carter III, respectively. Ne-Yo (Year of the Gentleman) and fun-music couple Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (Raising Sand) also were nominated. Radiohead rounded out the category with a nod for In Rainbows, thus potentially causing Grammy-scoring headaches for people who think Radiohead is Coldplay or vice versa.

Lil Wayne led all artists with eight nominations. Coldplay scored seven. And not that Kanye West pays attention to such things, but he did well to pick up six, as did Ne-Yo and Jay-Z.

The Jonas Brothers made their mark in the Best New Artist category.

Taylor Swift Gets Zip—and Other Grammy Surprises

John Mayer has a reason to get a date (like he needs one). Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus have a shared reason to grouse. Jennifer Hudson has a reason to smile.

We've outlined the top Grammy nominations. Now we're going to sort through all the Grammy nominations—the noteworthy, the weird, and, yes, the snubs. Here goes:

  • Mayer earned his annual ticket to the Grammy party with five nominations, including one for his non-euphemistic duet with Alicia Keys ("Lesson Learned," up for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals), and one for his artistic contribution to The Bucket List ("Say," up for best song written for a movie).
  • Swift cohosted the "nominations concert," watched ex-Joe Jonas and his brothers score a Best New Artist nod—and got nothing. Not a single nomination. (Her just-released album Fearless wasn't eligible, but some of her earlier released songs were.)

Mariah Carey Go-Gos at the Grammy Noms Concert

The Grammy season officially kicked off with a Christmas gift from Mariah Carey, who donned go-go boots to sing "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," thereby also giving a little holiday cheer to Phil Spector, one of the writers of the tune.

Hosted by Taylor Swift and LL Cool J, the show featured a mix of performances from Foo Fighters, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion and more, as well as awards and the kind of awkward banter usually reserved for actual award shows.

Anne Heche Expecting a Baby With Trees Beau

Anne Heche may not have Men in Trees but she has babies coming out of the woodwork.

The 39-year-old actress, fresh from a rather nasty custody battle, is expecting her first child with boyfriend James Tupper, 43, according to Heche's rep, who told Us Weekly the couple "are thrilled."

Each was still married when they met in 2006 on the Vancouver set of ABC's Men in Trees, which lasted two seasons. They debuted as a couple shortly after Heche filed for divorce from her hubby of more than five years, Coley Laffoon, in February 2007.

Before finally settling their differences in June, the estranged exes traded barbs galore as they fought over custody of their now 6-year-old son, Homer, with Laffoon objecting to the boy spending too much time in Vancouver with mom and her new beau.

When asked last year whether she was open to having more children, Heche told Extra, "Gotta leave it open, ya know what I'm saying?"

Romancing Pam hasn't been the only activity keeping Jim busy after hours.

Mark Ruffalo's younger brother has been hospitalized in Los Angeles and listed in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to his head early Monday morning.

Beverly Hills Police confirm that the incident, which took place at Scott Ruffalo's apartment, was "suspicious," but they have yet to classify the tragic event as a criminal occurrence.

"Our detectives will not say if it was a shooting," Beverly Hills Police Department spokesman Tony Lee told E! News. "All we can say is that we are investigating some suspicious circumstance that [occurred] early Monday morning."

Baywatch's Gina Lee Nolin Adds to Babe Count

Gena Lee Nolin on Baywatch NBC

Time for Gina Lee Nolin to start shopping for an even teenier bikini than usual.

The former Baywatch bombshell and her hockey player hubby, Cale Hulse, welcomed their second child together Wednesday, daughter Stella Monroe Hulse.

"Mom and baby are both healthy and doing very well," Nolin's rep, Jerry Shandrew, told People. "The whole family is very excited to welcome baby Stella home."

Upon her arrival in Scottsdale, Ariz., baby Stella weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 20 1/2 inches long. She joins her 2-year-old brother, Hudson, as well as 11-year-old Spencer, Nolin's son with her first husband, and 7-year-old Caia, Hulse's daughter from a previous relationship, in her parents' brood.

Nolin and Hulse met on a blind date—Hulse must have been pleasantly surprised when he showed up for that one—and tied the knot in 2004.

OK, let's get the easy stuff out of the way: What was TV's most watched show last week? The Dancing With the Stars finale, duh.

But with Grey's Anatomy in reruns, what was the No. 1 show among the demographically desirable? Whose variety special played to the smaller house: Rosie O'Donnell or Ellen DeGeneres'? And which former CW show killed the CW?
