Barker-AM Crash Recordings Released

DJ AM, Travis Barker plane crash AP Photo

More details on the causes of the fatal Learjet crash that left Travis Barker and DJ AM badly burned but steadily recovering have been revealed, after cockpit recordings were released by the Federal Aviation Administration.

"Roll the equipment; we're going off the end," copilot James Bland is heard telling air traffic control officials. (The recordings can be heard here and here.)

Bland's warning was the last communication on the Sept. 19 recording before the private plane shot off the Columbia, S.C., runway and came to a fiery end.

Later in the recording, a controller can be heard telling the pilot of an incoming plane, "We've had an emergency," and instructing the aviator to "fly straight ahead" and land at another airport.

"We see it down there and it doesn't look good," a redirected pilot tells the controllers.

Rise 'n' Shine: Hugh Jackman the Sexiest Man Alive

Hugh Jackman, People Sexiest Man Alive People

Hugh Jackman is the Sexiest Man Alive because he is "all scruff and biceps" and has what his wife calls "the Body of Doom." Do you agree?

Is Gwynnie thinking of getting a divorce because Madonna got one and best friends do everything together? She hasn't been spending too much time with hubby Chris Martin and hung out with a billionaire bachelor while in Miami.

Anne Hathaway's new boyfriend might not be so good after all, because he reportedly "went after all the heiresses" in college.

• Pam Anderson has some advice for Obama, including some recommended reading and a plea to legalize marijuana.

Reese Witherspoon would like a chicken coop for Christmas, in case anyone wants to hook her up.

Everything else is same old, same old—LiLo and SamRo are fighting and Jessica Simpson hearts Tony Romo.

Jimmy Kimmel & Sarah Silverman: Reunited?

More from Marc Malkin

Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel like to keep us guessing. The former couple, who announced in July that they were calling it quits after five years together, showed up arm-in-arm to last night's GQ Men of the Year party at L.A.'s Chateau Marmont hotel.

They smiled and posed together for photographers on the red carpet but declined joint interviews.

Once inside the star-studded bash, they held hands while talking to GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson.

Later on, Silverman was spied planting a sweet peck on Kimmel's lips. They also chatted with Mad Men star Jon Hamm, who is one of the magazine's four cover stars (the other three are Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Phelps and President-Elect Barack Obama.)

Shortly before leaving, Kimmel and Silverman once again had their arms around each other while chatting with Lost star Matthew Fox.

Kimmel's rep declined to comment about his client's relationship with Silverman.

John Mayer's Bodyguard Bodyslams Paparazzo

John Mayer took a break from wining and dining Jennifer Aniston Tuesday night, and things got a little rough.

Mayer dined with a male friend at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, where, although the private exit was ready for him, Mayer decided to leave out the front door—into the teeth of the paparazzi scrum.

As Mayer ducked into his awaiting BMW, his bodyguard shoved a shutterbug to the ground and then briefly grabbed the photographer by the throat.

The guard then hopped into the driver seat and whisked Mayer away as customers and employees spilled out of the steakhouse to see what the commotion was all about.

Although the encounter lasted just a few seconds, and the paparazzo, Marc Rhea, immediately stood up and started screaming at the Mayer crew, E! News has learned the photographer subsequently headed to a Tarzana hospital to make sure he had no serious injuries. Rhea has not filed a police report, but plans on contacting a lawyer.

No comment yet from the Mayer camp.

Miley Giggles Over Justin Gaston With Ellen

More from H'Wood Party Girl

Miley Cyrus continues trying to be coy about her relationship with Justin Gaston, but her body language on Ellen gives it away.

Just watch how giggly and squirmy she gets as Ellen DeGeneres tries to make her admit they're dating.

"No," says Miley, before breaking into a fit of laughter. Then she adds: "I giggle about everyone!"

Right. While Miles refused to dish on dating, she did say he was accompanying her to the Bolt premiere later that night. "He's funny!" she exclaims, cracking up maniacally again.

Clearly.

Heather Mills Presses the Press

Heather Mills Nick Harvey/WireImage.com

Heather Mills' latest charity project: herself.

Paul McCartney's ex-wife, who, deservedly or not, has indisputably been vilified by the British press, is attempting to give as good as she's gotten. The former model has filed complaints against four U.K. newspapers that she feels have given her a particularly raw deal.

The British media watchdog group the Press Complaints Commission, to which Mills reported the perceived injustices, did not disclose the nature of the complaints, but confirmed they touched on "various issues including privacy and accuracy."

DWTS Backstage Dirt: Cody Cries! And Derek Disses

DWTS, Cody Linely ABC/KELSEY McNEAL
More from Watch with Kristin

Tween girls weren't the only ones bawling their eyes out at tonight's elimination show for Dancing With the Stars.

Cody Linley, the Hannah Montana star who got the boot tonight, was a bit too, er, verklempt to head straight to the press line after the episode ended, and took a few moments to dry his eyes (and hug a few tween fans) before answering reporters' questions.

So why was he crying? Who's calling him the "next Brad Pitt?" And what secrets did we learn about next week's finale?

New X-Men Getting the O.C. Treatment

Hugh Jackman, X-Men Twentieth Century Fox

Josh Schwartz is well-versed in teen drama and genetically gifted frenemies, but how will he handle mutant superheroes and rabid fandom?

Schwartz, creator of Gossip Girl and The O.C., has been tapped by 20th Century Fox to pen X-Men: First Class, a reboot of the Marvel franchise featuring a new group of genetically enhanced youngsters undergoing instruction at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.  First Class will be the small-screen achiever's first foray into a major theatrical production.

The 32-year-old writer-producer is expected to inject the new addition to the X-Men canon—which soon will include X-Men Origins: Wolverine and another prequel focusing on the villainous Magneto—with his finely honed flair for showcasing teenage angst and modern coming-of-age sensibilities.

The seventh season of Dancing With the Stars has flown by, leaving in its wake three contestants with a shot at the championship on next week's finale.

Though this season has largely been missing the "wow" factor (the serious, positive "wow" factor, anyway) and last night's results were mixed for Brooke Burke, Cody Linley, Lance Bass and Warren Sapp, viewership has been consistent and voter support has been strong—so there's plenty of people out there lovin' this group, right?

See whether your favorite three made it through, or whether, once again, you have to admit that you just don't understand the way America thinks...
